The film has been nominated for an Oscar as the Best Animated Feature Film of 2018! Each of the film's 65,000 frames is an oil painting on canvas which was produced using the same technique as Van Gogh by a team of 115 painters.

JRAC will open the 2018 Season with an exhibit focusing on handbuilt pottery. The exhibit opens Sunday April 9 and closes Sunday April 29. The exhibit will show the creativity and artistry that goes into creating pottery by hand. The show will include fine pieces of functional hand built work as well as sculptural, whimsical and imaginative pieces. All pieces are made without using a pottery wheel. Potter Cynthia Tschudy is curator for this invitational exhibit. Stop in to view and purchase hand built items and register to win one of the beautiful pieces!
Area high school students present their best art work. Please join us and show your support for area students. Four scholarships plus three honorable mention awards will be given. The Exhibit will take place at the Jordan River Arts Center May 13 through May 25. An Awards Reception will be from 1:00-4:00 pm on Sunday May 20. Awards will be announced at 2:00 pm. Students must be present to receive any award.
The Betty Osborne Scholarship of $1500 is awarded to a High School Senior upon receipt of their first semester grades for continuing the study of art at college.
The Betty Beeby Scholarship of $1000 is awarded to a High School Senior upon receipt of their first semester grades for continuing the study of art at college.
The John R. Alberts Scholarship of $1000 is awarded to a High School Senior upon receipt of their first semester grades in college or post high school training not necessarily in the field of art.
The JRAC Award of $750 is given to a High School Junior or Senior.
Three Honorable Mentions of $100 are given to High School Juniors or Seniors.
JRAC Members are invited to share their best work in this popular annual exhibit.
Beautiful flowers are the focus of the exhibit. All area artist are welcome to submit work for this show. The exhibit will also be the backdrop for the East Jordan Garden Clubs annual exhibit on August 4th.
"Splash" is a water themed display celebrating Northern Michigan's rivers and lakes. The exhibit features work by many talented area artists.
All area artists are invited to submit water themed work with an emphasis on Antrim and Charlevoix County rivers and lakes. Exhibit is in conjunction with Raven Hill Discovery Center's Water/Ways exhibit.
